2021 was the breaking point on my own path.

I was ashamed that even as a lifetime home cook with a culinary degree and professional cooking experience, I was still struggling with the extreme highs-and-lows of inconsistently nourishing myself:

either I was meal prepping from an over-stuffed fridge, spending burdensome & tiring hours cooking, OR I was working through meal time, pushing through hanger and brain fog, with a fridge full of nothing.

The Counter is where we’re co-creating a new paradigm in nourishment. I’m here to do something completely different. And I would love for you to join me.

welcome into my kitchen! 👋🏼

Can I get you some water? or seltzer? Sorry, is it ok if I use a mason jar? (I kind of have a jar addiction) Let’s do a quick get to know you. I’ll go first:

  • I am a third generation native New Yorker who loves beaches, mountains and rainforests just as much as the concrete jungle

  • I was a foodie before that term was in the common lexicon (at age12 I was writing restaurant menus for fun so, basically, nothing changed)

  • I am very much a Taurus sun, Libra rising and Gemini moon, which I will happily break down another time if you’re into astro stuff too

  • I am a trained chef and graduated from what was formerly The French Culinary Institute in SoHo

The Kitchen by Micole was born out of my own experiences with menal health and trying to feed myself through disordered eating recovery with ADHD. After many years of my own trial and error and lots of research, I coached dozens of clients to reclaim their own easeful nourishment. And then I made it my mission to build a table for, well, all of us. Because it’s my belief that eating is your birthright. It should feel as easeful, as human, as breathing.

When I’m not in The Kitchen, you can find me in The Studio where I partner with CPG, wellness and hospitality brands to craft strategic, high-impact visuals that bridge the gap between kitchens and customers.
